When we care about someone, we feel we must hurt when they hurt, be sad when they're sad, be angry when they are angry...fight their battles.
Yet, you can have compassion & be supportive without dipping down to a lower vibration with your friend.
You can understand what they are feeling, & even feel what they feel emotionally...you may even cry with & for them, but it doesn't mean you have to sit there.
The stages of grief are very difficult and they do not move in sequential order for most people. It can be very difficult times.
You are still a good friend, even if you don't cycle through the stages of grief with your friend.
Understand that each of you will have happy moments to come. Don't put yours off, because they don't align with what your friend is experiencing.

They NEED positive, encouraging, supportive energy...even if you don't say a word.
